Hello, I am Sophia
Project manager, parent, and an expat based in Springfield, United States.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn't in our long-term plan. Like many relocation stories, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
Those initial weeks were challenging — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more tangled than they should.
The Adjustment Period
We experienced culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Over time, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Breezy Harbor Line
Most information online came from corporate relocation sources or shallow tourist material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap with practical advice drawn from real life in United States.
What This Website Represents (And What It Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in United States
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when there are meaningful changes
This site is not:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not just a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in United States continues, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Springfield or anywhere in United States, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Sophia
